Physiological Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (PICSI)

Is a technique used to select sperm to use in ICSI treatment. It involves placing sperm with hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural compound found in the body. PICSI identifies sperm that can bind to HA and these sperm are selected for use in treatment. PICSI is a non-invasive procedure performed on a semen sample as an additional step in the ICSI process.

Is it right for me?

– Men have high sperm DNA fragmentation.

– There’s a previous history of poor embryo development day 3 to day5.

– There’s a previous history of low or poor fertilization.

– There’s repeated implantation failure.

– There’s a high miscarriage rate.

– There’s repeate Husband’s occupation in cases of oil/ petroleum/engineering/mining industries.

– There’s reduced sperm morphology/motility.

– Low fertilization with ICSI has occurred.

– Older men ≥ 45 years old.

– Lifestyle chain smoker, high alcohol intake.
